How often should I get my teeth cleaned by a dentist?

Answer: Dentists recommend a professional oral hygiene treatment once every 4-6 months. But this recommendation is not for everyone. The frequency of visits to a dental hygienist can depend on many factors: the presence of bad habits such as smoking, the mineral composition of saliva (which causes different formation of gum stones), the development of hygiene skills – someone and good at self-cleaning teeth, so they need professional cleaning less often. There are rare patients for whom we recommend a cleaning once a year. In any case, this is decided individually at the appointment with the hygienist.
